Show Up For Yourself

Do everything you said you wanted to. Keep the promises that you make to yourself.

All the energy that you put into others – keep that same energy when it comes to giving back to yourself and doing things for you.

Don’t be afraid to have aspirations and set goals for yourself. Don’t be scared of a challenge or the unknown; Any successful person will tell you that we thrive outside of our comfort zones.

SWITCH UP. It’s quite alright to move differently in an effort to live the life you are meant to live and be who you are meant to be.

Showing up for ourselves acknowledges our worth and purpose. It challenges us to put ourselves in a position to grow and flourish. It requires change.

For me, showing up for myself required me to be honest with myself, speak differently, set boundaries, set intentions and follow through with all the changes this new narrative required. As someone who is inclined to live as a people pleaser, not being able to please everyone all the time was a challenge. Choosing myself made me feel bad.

I had to keep my mind fixed on the person I’m meant to be, the person I am now and what it will take to bridge the gap. I had to be disciplined and remind myself what I am making space for – SHOWING UP FOR MYSELF. There shouldn’t be any guilt associated with maintaining your priorities, making time for you, investing in your future, resting and everything in between that serves YOU.

Normalize making yourself just as important as your career, friends, family…

YOU matter and YOU won’t thrive unless you prioritize yourself accordingly. Fill and re-fill your cup. Treat yourself. Hold yourself accountable. Love yourself. Give yourself space to be. And of course, if you didn’t catch the theme of this post – show up for yourself.

xoxoxo,
DASH
