Keep Fighting

“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. I am so grateful for God’s love. I’m in a season where I’m needing to make a lot of changes that aren’t easy but well worth the fight – bad habits I’ve had for years, opportunities that scare me, relationships that are hard to let go of.

This is a point in my life where I know better, so not doing better is…well….BS on my part. When I engage in the things I shouldn’t, I’m riddled with guilt and shame that typically disrupts my spiritual grind. Thankfully, repentance is a familiar territory. Knowing that God’s grace is bigger than any amount of setbacks is what keeps me going. God is my reminder that as long I’m breathing, this is not the end and there is work to do.

In the moments where I fail, God’s love is what saves me from depression and hopelessness. God’s love gives me the confidence to keep fighting for the life He has planned for me.
