Dream Big
God’s Word is clear that His plans always prevail (Isaiah 55:10-11). Once I’m able to get a more solid understanding of who God is, then I’m able to get re-grounded in what He wants for me. So even when I’m confused about what to do next or intimidated by something He put on my heart to do, I can remember that if it’s His plan, then I will succeed.
I don’t have to be perfect. I don’t have to have everyone’s approval. I don’t have to have 1 million likes or subscribers. I just have to keep checking in with God about my next move through prayer, His Word, and a solid community.
Personally, having big dreams intimidates me. To be completely honest, I lowkey don’t feel qualified to do the things that have been on my heart for years. I’ve embarked on some of them against my own comfort and confidence, but now I’m in a place where I understand that I’m wasting time “playing it safe”.
I’m learning that taking risks with God really isn’t risky at all. In playing it safe and small for the sake of my little ego, I’m surely just blocking my own blessings and possibly someone else’s.
I’m challenging myself to submit my desires to God, no matter how intimidating, and taking the next step to act on them. I’m not going to overwhelm myself in trying to have the next 15 years of business moves laid out, but I will humble myself to ask for help and guidance from others, pray, and stay the course.
I hope this encourages someone to do that thing you’ve been talking yourself out of doing (only if you’ve talked to God about it first though!).
xoxoxo,
