Ahead of God

It doesn’t take much for me to get ahead of myself, and worse, ahead of God.

I’ll depend on Him for awhile, surrendering every part of my life to Him, and when my prayers start getting answered, I start trying to take things into my own hands again.

The minute I stop taking things to God first, my peace is on the decline. The clarity dissipates. Anxiety creeps in. And the chaos ensues.

I need a daily reminder (sometimes several times a day) to not get ahead of God, but be led by God. 

God is trustworthy and has our best interest at heart. I don’t need to have it all figured out; I just need to have faith and practice obedience.
